My ebay flake towards bills...

I have resumed selling on ebay - today I shipped my first sell.

I will have $8.00 (profit) to flake toward a credit card after the transfer posts to my checking account - the great news is the account the money is dumping into is linked to this miserable credit card I am going to pay down (SUPER HIGH INTEREST -- so I have said ebay is strictly going to this particular card - along with the minimum payment)

I thought,if I lose money I won't bother. But, I can really get somewhere at $8.00 - even if it's $8.00 a week or month - it's more than when I started !!

I have my next item pending posting - needs to be photographed.

I also liked just doing a 3 day auction. It seemed silly to wait 7 or 10 days for it to do what it needed to do so within less than a week I made $8.00 extra dollars!!!

shoot if I do the math that's $32.00 a month --- this can really put a dent in that mean bill

I am excited -- waiting for half off day at the thrift store so I can go back and get more things to list !!!

good luck flaking to all !!

Let me ask another question to the Ebayers. I have about 9 garbage bags of clothes (besides the Levi's).

To make it easy on shipping ---- you will need to go to the post office and get some of those flat rate priority boxes (they are free and usually in the lobby of the PO) - depending on the size of the box the shipping is pre-determined the cheapest is $4.95 and then it goes up from there - I think it goes $10.70 and then $14.95 (maybe)

So if you mix it by lot just shove in all in the box and that is how shipping is determined

Lots of the same size work best -

For the jeans I could make a killing if I had multiple in the same identical size and style, however most of the jeans I have are different sizes and styles so I can't do that

I feel some people like different styles that keeps me from combining the jeans in lots -- some people like 501's some like dark blue some like loose fit etc --

Good Luck
Shannon

I'm about to start listing again too. I think people are finally buying. I have 3 items ready to list this week. I also sell books on Amazon and made $100 on Friday. $50 is pending on a sale from Saturday. All of this will go toward debt. I guess I had to get good and sick of the burden of payments.

Hi, mckeekitty.

If you don't mind sharing, may I ask what types of things you sell and where you buy your inventory?

Thanks,

Robyn

Hi Robyn,

When I first started on ebay, I sold strictly books.

I was just telling DH that I need to get in there and start listing my stuff. I have a TON. I know I'll never get it all listed today. I LOVE your idea of sending all the profits to one bill. What a great idea! I need to figure out where mine would go. I used to use it toward groceries and household stuff but now we're on a theoretical envelope system (my only envelope, so it just zips in the pocket of my purse, LOL) so no dice on the groceries. I think maybe I'll get two Christmas gifts a week off my Paypal card (individual stocking stuffers count since they're listed separately) and then put the rest each week toward something. Hmmm...

Okay, that does it. I'm listing NOW! Thanks for the nudge! I have over 50 auctions to list, but I can at least start, LOL.

You're doing great! You are SO right. $8 a week will add up. Shoot, a buck adds up! Sometimes I feel like I'm digging my way out with a spoon, but progress is progress. Congrats on yours!

Wow, I am not an eBay shopper (I hate shopping at all and have too much stuff as it is, let alone stuff others' don't want.)
