Me - I am tracking EVERY single cent of what I spend from a single pay check -

If I have money left over I am calling it my "roll-over" and will send that into my E-fund.

I have NEVER tracked where all of my money goes. I use to just look and say, "I have money I can get this or that".

I did return all my Christmas returns - they now are on cards to use at that store later (that no cash back thing). I need to buy a birthday gift so I will be able to use the return money to put toward that gift.

I think the tracking itself will change the way I spend money.
This week alone I did not eat out once at work, (a HUGE accomplishment with the girls I work with !!! It's so easy to just go and get lunch with the girls) my grocery budget went up a bit, but I also am trying to concentrate on buying more things WE USE and throw away less. We may eat the same meal twice a week but at least we eat it and it gets eaten and we don't throw away anything. I also noticed more of the girls listened to what I was saying about eating in and spending less on lunch and they are going to try to do the same as well !!!

I have been flaking my coupon money to pay down a bill.
I have recycling in my trunk to get done this weekend (I have a coupon for an additional 5 cents a pound)
And I have started ebay selling as well (also tracked in my every penny spent tracking).

I also have been declining invites out to drinks and dinner more.
We use to go out twice a week and that can add up.
No one seems to be too bothered my our declines, we have explained we are saving money and have planned a super bowl party for the end of the month. I have asked everyone who is coming to bring their drinks of choice and an appetizer. We will offer a veggie tray and desserts. I have been watching the ads and am getting a plan in place.

I have taken my credit card out of my wallet and it will only go back in there if I am away from home (trip).

I am also trying to eat everything that is in the house and paid for and only buying a bit of fresh stuff to supplement.

I also need to get back in the habit of tracking my spending and I also need to set some savings goals. Those two go together for me.

Credit cards went into drawer, so any purchases to on a CC would have to be thought about before buying.

Made a file folder for all receipts to be put in as soon as we get home. (Will sort them later into categories) Even have DH on board for that, now just to remember to get receipts every time we buy something.

I, too, have started tracking every penny.
