I nailed down my 2010 budget. Hope I can stick to it, it is a combination of things. I am also using Quicken again. My goal is to just keep chipping away at things and increase my saving throughout the year.

I think I can, I think I can....lol

My mom buys the groceries. I help out some with them. I get a canister of Quaker Oats and that is what I eat every morning (I am addicted) with a litte Splenda Brown Sugar blend. Cheap and good for my stomach. I usually have a $2.00 bowl of soup at work and then for supper we fix something light (a sweet potato or russett. and piece of chicken or turkey) so I really save on groceries that way. My daughter hates all breakfast foods (once in a while I get her to eat frosted mini wheats) and she eats lunch at school because according to her no one takes their lunch to school in the 8th grade :)

A small suggestion to possibly get your daughter on board for saving.

Figure out the difference that it costs for her to eat lunch at school and what it would cost if she made her lunch and took that. And offer to give her 1/2 of the difference. So if you save $10 a week on her packing her lunch, she would get $5 at the end of the week to spend as she likes. You would save a bit of money and you know she would be eating healthier foods.

Just one of those spur of the moment ideas that float around in my brain.
:-)

That's a great idea! I will have to ask her if that is something she might want to do. She doesn't save money the kid spends it as fast as she gets it. Teenagers sheesh!

My mom and I go once a week. it is the only outing she gets as she is not able to do much outside of the home due to her disability. The most I have won was $600 last year on a "last man standing" pul tab. I was shaking I was so excited!

It is my one little guilty pleasure for myself, with the understanding that if I need money for something the money for bingo gets taken from first.
