Its a small victory, but with how I've been feeling lately (and how there is a lot of bad stuff happening on this board) I thought I would post a little victory.

I got a letter from Hydro yesterday and my monthly payments are going down! From $133 a month to $94! Thats almost $40 a month! Yay. We are on budgeted billling so all the small changes I have made (replacing lightbulbs to more energy efficient ones, replacing appliances to more energy effiecient ones etc etc) looks like it finally paying off!

So my gas, hydro and propery taxes combined are down $110. Thats a nice little snowflake to send to the appliances!

Maybe you should make yourself a BIG SIGN saying exactly what you are saving and then post it somewhere that you can't miss seeing it when you start getting down or stressed out!!

Wow! That's great! Saving $110 each month is HUGE! My mortgage went up this year by a few dollars and I guess it's because of my raising property taxes. I'm thinking this is a big HUGe fat rip-off because I sure as heck couldn't sell my house for what the city thinks it's worth. I want to see if I can get my property taxes lowered, but I don't know how. I think it has something to do with getting my property evaluated but my neighbor just had that done and it cost $400 dollars. I don't have that money right now!
