ADDING to my debt!!

But I am super excited about it! I know that I am working my butt off to get out of debt but I've decided to go back to school. I am going to continue to work full time and I am going to take out a federal student loan. I already have some student loan debt so I will be adding to it, but my existing is with the devil (sallie mae) and this will be a stafford.

I know that some of you may not agree with this, but in all honesty, I feel ok about it.

I am proud for you! To me, and this is only my opinion, education is not a debt. Anything that betters us is worth the

30 is as old as dirt? Oh Gosh, what does that make me?? LOL! You gotta write that stuff down!!

I am on the fence with education. My opinion is--if you can make a lot more money then do it. If you can't, you have to assess if it is really worth the stress and debt.

It does sound like this is the right field to do it in if any though so good luck and I hope you make a pile of cash when you are done.

ah, yes, I pray for a pile of cash also!! I do stand to make more money when it is all said and done and I will be eligible for jobs with much better hours (no nights/weekends) etc....so I do think that it will pay for itself within a matter of a year or two. But even if I can make the same $$ I make now but make it in 40 hrs vs 48-60 hours then it will be well worth it!

Thanks for the encouragement.

It will be around $12,000 eek!! But I am going to pay the interest during the program instead of letting it build up until 6 mths after graduation.

Congrats on your decision. I play around with going to grad school but I really want to be sure about what I study to make it worth the debt and time. I think it is worth it even if you are not making much more money but doing something more meaningful for your life. It sounds like you have a good plan.
