Oh sorry to hear that. Glad you could use cash!

I had an electrician in at the store here this week. It was just a ballast(sp?) problems and no parts but I bet it will be expensive. I will not use cash and my credit is running out! Boo!

I was thinking that putting a fuse box (now a breaker box) under ground level didn't sound like a solid idea (no pun intended!). I hope it doesn't cost more because they have to relocate wires, etc.

We managed to sandwich in a lot of electrical changes to our kitchen remodel last summer. While we were putting in a new box and circuits for the kitchen, we "rehomed" some wires that were joined in a big, unsafe junction box under the house. It was nice to have it all buttoned up and inspected with the rest, although we still have four house fuses that it seems we will never eliminate... there is just no compelling reason to move them except that the box would never be in a closet if it were redone today.
