Good morning! I knew it would be hard to stick to a new way of doing things but I figured I could make it 24 hours without temptation. But nooooo. Told you I had no discipline. The good news is I stuck to my plan.
I wrote yesterday that I was going to try something new where I figured up all bills and cc payments (minimums on everything for once except targeted bill) and then transfer just enough money to a separate checking account to write checks twice a month only. Well today my husband's paycheck arrived in our regular account and it seemed like we had a lot of money. I was sorely tempted to go ahead and pay off a little $100 cc out of it. I was thinking I would just knock this one little thing out. But I stopped myself and stuck with original plan. We'll probably need that $100 for something before the next pay check and the cash will be there.
I'm just surprised at how ingrained my bad habits are and how easily tempted I can be. Sheesh. No wonder I'm 20 pounds overweight.....

Dear Friend,
It's good to have a plan to stick to when that temptation comes rolling up.
With us it is doctor bills and meds that take our money,
What I used to do when I was paying the bills is I would take any extra funds I had and earmark it as snowflake money to be sent out on the 1st of the next money
What I found out is that many times I didn't have to touch that money but sometimes I did and this kept me from going to the credit card. What was left on the first I sent to a bill.
Nice to have a back up plan Now I am trying to teach it to Raymond he at first was a like like you until Christmas He found out it was nice having a little sitting there when I went to the hospital.
