Have you gone to an all cash lifestyle? If not, do you think you could?

How important are credit cards to you?

I don't use them (except for emergencies) but won't feel "safe" without until we've got savings built up

I do use my credit card to make purchases on a regular basis. I do pay it off monthly. I think I would be smarter to use cash, but I like the convenience of the credit card. I don't like to use debit because I don't get many free transactions prior to being charged.

I do use a Visa that is tied to an airline mileage plan. I live in Alaska, so using mileage points is important to me to keep travel costs down when visiting out-of-state relatives. I pay for groceries, utilities, etc. and pay it off every couple of weeks

Yes, it would be better to live credit card free....For some of us it justs leads into trouble...Using money we don't have, and then being charged terrible interest, late fees, over-limit fees, etc....They are a trap...And alot of us are caught in that trap....as I am
