I am cooking for four as I write this...expecting my main gal pal and another couple for dinner around nine..

I am making a mushroom, corn and onion casserole, cornish hens with scottish stuffing, rice pilaf, spinach and grapefruit salad and homemade cherry vanilla ice cream for dessert

They better appreciate it...

Saturday I am going to the Met at the Movies (repeat showing of Hoffman) and in the evening going to see some baroque music---lots of music but I love....my galpal is cooking late tomorrow nite after the show....prolly omelettes and salad

Sunday I am going to visit some friends in a town about 90 minutes away from here and I'm hoping the Progressive Girl is there lol(she was at a party I was at before christmas lol)

all in all a fun weekend

Not sure what our plans are this week-end. DH is out at a friend's house this evening playing cards. He took desert ($15). We were talking about going shopping tomorrow for a couch cover, but my friend called and her friend has a couch we can have for free. So, that will save some money. Also, I was going to order a border for my daughter's room today, but I found one in stock at the store. So that saved $70. I might see if DH wants to go shopping anyway, just to get out. We were planning to go out for dinner tomorrow after shopping, so we may still do that.
It could be an expensive venture, so we need to keep ourself in check.
