Organizing with an eye for making money!

I'm going through my house this week and deciding what I can consign, what I can sell on Craigslist or ebay and what I can plain just get rid of, either by freecycle, good will or the trash! It makes it much more fun to organize when you could actually make some money doing it! I've already posted all of my paperback books that I was keeping around on Craigslist, although no one has emailed yet. I have a few different avenues to sell those books so I'm not worried. I'm devoting one corner of my house to this endeavor and I'm hoping to really be able to clean out my life! I'm so sick of living in such a tiny house with 5 people and dealing with clutter. It bogs me down and keeps me prisoner in my own home.
A friend of mine called this morning and she was on her way to the gym. I can't do that on a Saturday because I'm always cleaning! I hate it!
And if worse comes to worse and ntohing sells, well then in a few months when the weather turns nicer, I'll just have a yard sale! The stuff will be all ready anyway!

I am also doing the same thing! If your books are in new condition, you might want to think about Amazon; but, paperbacks can go real cheap. Your Craig's list idea is probably the better choice. I have some things on ebay and a bunch on Amazon. What I like about Amazon is they just stay there. I don't have to check on things. Something sells and I get an email and I ship it out. Easy.
The decluttering just makes me feel better too and I can so relate about cleaning on the weekends. Less stuff means less maintenance and more TIME for yourself.
Good luck with your sales!
Dee
I am so jealous of you being able to have time to clean out your house.
