Should I go massively into debt again?

I really need some advice, as I likely have a major life decision to make in the coming week and I honestly don’t know what to do.

Hi Kate...
If you've never lived anywhere else...you might be in for many surprises...
Whatever you do...go out and visit before you make a decision...
Of all the Canadian cities Ive been too...after Winnipeg...Edmonton has been my least favorite(no offense momof5)
The landscape is spectular outside of the city and the people are friendly but for me it was a cultural wasteland and way toooo right wing for my tastes...
Kate go out and visit even for four or five days before you make a decision....

Just a lurker here but I wanted to give my 2 cents. :)
My husband and I told each other that we could live anywhere as long as we had each other and of course a good paying job. I mean we currently live in Oregon, my husband's decision so we could live next to my parents only they ended up moving for a job (they basically had no other choice), and my husband is definitely a sunny person. The clouds and the rain get to him sometimes but he still a happy person.
The debt should be the least of your worries as it is only temporary. Job security, a better place for your daughter to find employment, the fact that you and your daughter will still have each other-these things should matter more.
hi kate- you have gotten a lot of great advice about your possible move. i think you are being smart by examining all your options and making sure that you know what you would be getting into and how it would go.
i am sure that if you make decisions with your (and your daughters) futures and overall happiness in mind you will come to what's best for you both.
so- no real advice to add, just a giant wish of good luck!

Hi Karen,
I
Kate
Good luck Kate, hope it goes great! I'm sure your hair is the least of their concerns. If you watch seat sales for WestJet & at sites like expedia, you should be able to fly in & out for <$400, just a thought!
Duke - no offense taken. When were you out here? LOL @ "cultural wasteland".... Edmonton does actually have some good culture you just need to know where to look...and it has def gotten better over the past few years. I lived in Fort McMurray and after being there for 2 yrs, Edmonton became paradise lol. Now that place, I would never recommend anyone moving to!

Where are you at in Oregon????

OMG Dynasty
I was the only eight year old boy that loved Dynasty...the intrigue, the passion, the shoulder pads lol
I thought Pamela Bellwood (Claudia) was the most beautiful woman in the world when I was eight lol
Thanks for the memories.....

PS How did
Hi Duke,
Just to clarify, I had big hair, but not the shoulder pads.
