Allright, I didn't have any Jan goals. Actually to be honest I was quite pleased with the way life was going in January but I guess something about Feb. made me feel differently lol.

I gave up soda for Lent so I can think of that as both spiritually and financially uplifting but 2 days in now and I'm thinking I was pretty happy with a dirty soul and no money as long as I had soda. I really need to figure out what people drink when they don't have Diet Coke.

Next I need to get DH on board with this whole debt reduction plan. He's still waiting for that quick fix that will sweep it all away while he can still live high on the hog. But until then baby steps.

I need to start snowflaking on the car note. And I also need to call the finance company and check on some things. Thats a whole nother post cause I'm pretty sure I'm going to need some mondo advice on a

STEPHANIE - OMG LMAO @ " I'm thinking I was pretty happy with a dirty soul and no money as long as I had soda. I really need to figure out what people drink when they don't have Diet Coke."
I'm with ya 100% on that. Diet Coke is my addiction, my vice, and there's no way in heck I'd be able to give it up.

Well I haven't lost my mind yet, so I'm doing well there.

My budget is screwed, again. Renter didn't pay us rent, we've spent too much on liquor (seems not going out is increasing our liquor use, gotta figure that one out...), I didn't have cash for DH so he's spending on average $2-3 more per day then he should, which adds up...
I am happy about how I'm doing with the food budget. However, food is becoming an issue because DH isn't fond of some of my new attempts at frugal cooking. He's a steak & potatoes kinda guy.

I am happy that the stupid child support is caught up.

But my bills are not paid.

No more $ has gone into my e-fund as of yet.

I talked to my son's bio dad's GF and she says I WILL be getting child support & offered to email transfer me extra money to pay for DS's soccer, due this Saturday. I declined, but it was a nice offer. So hopefully the CS will cover the efund, soccer, food & cash for the rest of the month so we can use whats in the bank account now for bills.

And renter SAYS he mailed the cheques, better get here today, for some reason our bank loves us & covered our RV payment for the past WEEK (!) but I doubt they'll do it much longer.

So, I guess while the kids are napping today I should do up a new budget for March. Which should be fun - DH has not worked ANY OT for the cheque we'll get at the EOM. Sigh.

Not a good day for me to be updating lol I'm cranky & discouraged.

Oh and did I mention that last weekend, DH was really nice before bed and got me a glass of ice water...and left the freezer open????
Woke up in the morning, had to toss about $50-75 of thawed out no good food. I tried to salvage the rest but didn't really help my outlook on things!

Ladies--the diet soda thing--there are a lot of herbal teas on the market that are really yummy, and you can use the bag a few times. I have a blueberry one right now that is really good.

Feb goals:

Look at my mini RRSP contribution.
***It has not arrived in the mail yet($250 from my visa points), but it should this week or next and I opened an RRSP account, put $500 cash in it and set it up to draw $25 a month(hey, its a start!).

Compile Tax info to file personal taxes
***My corporate taxes are not done yet, but I am meeting with my accountant today or tomorrow. Then I can concentrate on personal taxes. I did complete the T-4s for my company though this week so I have started on this.

Do my best with cash flow for my business so I don't have to add $$.
***I have been very careful with my ordering. I have not paid some bills(I have credit with some vendors) and I have not gone over my original credit line limit (I got it raised) yet LOL. So I am LEVERAGING, and have not added personal money to save my business credit line, which is good. I have paid my property taxes in full now. I had been holding off on that so it is nice to get it done. Now onto others.....

Stress less about money (ha ha ha)
***I have not achieved this one yet, but I am getting there.
