How is your weeking looking $$??

I have a wedding to go to this weekend. I am sort of looking forward to it but it won't be cheap. We need to get an oil change on the car, presentation for the wedding and probably lunch in the city.

I have no idea what to make for supper tonight. I am feeling grilled cheese and soup. I would like to make a casserole on Sunday and something nice for supper. I will have to see what I have in my freezer. It is full so I should have no problem. Perhaps a soup on Sunday too. I like the idea of the soup and the caserole because then we have options for lunches the next week even though it looks like I make a lot food.

What does everyone have on their plate? ha ha ha. I am so funny today!

ODD has to cheer at a basketball game tonight and DH goes to fill out paperwork on a new job he was offered! (crossing fingers) we don't know many details on it yet, just what salary they offered him and that they wanted him to fill out paperwork tonight, so I should know more after that, but its a job he's been wanting, its hourly, a great reputation in town, and steady hours all year long.

Our weekend should be failr low cost, hopefully free. DH's team is playing hockey @ 1pm both Sat & Sun, that pretty much rules out going out anywhere as a family. I think I will get the older kids to make their valentines this year as opposed to buying them...I know it's not that much to buy them but every penny counts & we have TONS of art & craft supplies...

I do have to go buy ink for my printer, a lot of my dayhome crafts are printed from online, but we have a Kodak all-in-one & their ink is remarkably cheap.

I am hoping to keep groceries/house spls under $200.
Unfortunately one of our renters has not paid rent yet so we're holding off on spending any extra money.

My dryer hookup is gas, and no electrical was run to it, and everything is all drywalled, no access to it. We have a $1200 dryer sitting in my garage since we moved in here in 2008, that was less than a year of use when we moved in, but it's been no use due to the gas hookup (and garage is not attached or heated so it cant be used there). DH figures he can run the electrical to do a hookup for about $200, which is significantly cheaper than buying a new gas dryer...Unfortunately it means cutting some holes in drywalled ceilings & bulkheads that we won't immediately be able to patch & paint due to the finances. But the electric one I have is HE so we'll save money there eventually....But we really can't swing the $200 for materials right now :( So I guess I'll be doing a lot of washing & hanging this weekend!

We're having "freezer" supper tonight - all the half portions that aren't enough for a meal on their own - we have some calamari, fish sticks, and perogies...kid friendly and basically free supper!

We are having my 2 yo niece over for a sleepover tonight, so that means watching the Wiggles and playing in the hot tub before bed.

Otherwise I will be cleaning up my sewing corner, I have a new-to-me sewing cabinet (freecycle) that will hold 2 of my sewing machines and hopefully tidy up my craft corner abit. So that I don't end up on the Hoarders series. I have watched it and similar shows, it does help with the motivation occasionally.

I took out ribs for dinner tomorrow night for when my SIL & BIL come down from skiing. So the only $$ out of pocket will be taking DN to tumble bumble in the morning.

But I should be able to shop from my pantry for the next week, other than picking up milk & salad on my way home from work today.

Funny! I watch hoaders all the time! Intervention too. Comforting to see people have worse problems than I do sometimes I guess. Although I really need to do laundry and clean up a few things as I don't want to end up on Hoarders LOL!

Naked Grape Shiraz. I sell that at my store. I featured it at Christmas time and I really like it. It sells very well and is very popular in Canada right now. Enjoy!

Hey, as stressful as your life is, I would think a vacation is part of your mental health plan.
