Hi folks -- I guess there is not much interest in doing this but I am going to continue it anyway.

Well I am not sure if this really technically qualifies me but I am going to try it anyway ...tee heee heee

I went to Kohls with my mom -- I was looking at shoes -
I had 4 pairs I couldn't decide on but knew I was going to have to spend $20.00 to use my coupon - which was get $10.00 off any $20.00 purchase (and shoes I am in desperate need of -- mine are TORE UP)

Well I found 2 pairs which would have made my total $32.00 - My mom was buying dishtowels and a candle herself and she also had the $10.00 coupon.

When it came time to check out my mom told me to give her my coupon and she put the towels on with my shoes and paid !!
On the next order she put my second pair of shoes and the candle on the next order and paid --- so I will take the $10.00 I would have saved on the coupon for my shoes - which I needed and budgeted for towards one of my cards !!!

Great Game

*sigh*

This did NOT work for me at all. I blew through money this weekend like it was going out of style.

First I went with my sis clothing shopping (for her). Ya right. I bought three shirts. Granted they cost me a total of $8.60 for all three (clearance priced and then another 40% off). But still.

Then I went to grab a bottle of wine for a night in with my gf's. Instead I grabbed 6!!! It was a wine I like and they were on sale (6 for $60) so I got them. Egads.

So I am not doing so well this month. BUT I did need some new makeup and was going to go get it when a friend had a girls night in. One of the girls there had a whole bunch of covergirl makeup to give away (she works for a pharmacy and they changed the packaging so they couldnt' sell it). I got 4 liquid cover ups and 2 powders. So that will last me. Does that count?

I'm learning to live on a budget (this is very new to me...I don't think my generation got taught how...)so I am continually walking past stuff. The $60 I set myself for food and everything else except gas for the car doesn't last til next payday unless I pass by a LOT of stuff.

I wanted to chime in that I am pretty sure I know what company you want your winter jacket from because I tried to use free shipping and $25 off $100 purchase last month, and it was a one or the other promotion deal. So I bought much less from them than I would have if I could have used an extra $25 off...and I just used the free shipping on the few things I **really** wanted.

I will suggest to you that you watch your favorite jacket online for the next few weeks and I will bet you it will get cheaper :) I bought a couple of new jackets that in January were on sale for about 45% less than their previous sale price.

Oh, and I'm not trying to ruin your new very great game. Just wanted to suggest if you wait a few weeks and keep your eye on that coat, you can probably get it even cheaper.

A tiny flake for me - just under $5 (the breakfast I used to get at McDonald's every Monday on my way to work)
