question about DMP

I was curious about the debt management plans that are out there. If I were to go that route, could I do it with my credit cards only? I have two. One that Im closing, and one that is open. I know they need to be frozen in order to do the plan, but I was hoping to keep my husbands card out of it, so that its avail for emergencies.
Is this possible, or will they require all cards to be included and frozen?
Not sure if this matters or not, but I dont work (SAHM) so I have no income.

Thanks for your time!

If I were you I would try to negotiate with the credit cards on your own first. You may be able to get your interest rates lowered to where you can handle the monthly payments.
Most of the people on this board will suggest that you try it yourself first. When you phone ask for the hardship department and explain your situation. You shouldn't even have to bring up your husbands card.

Thank you for your reply. I already called on one card and they were less than helpful. Although I did not specifically ask for a hardship dept. I will give that a try.
Thanks again!
