Hello everyone -

I just wanted this post to get seen by everyone - small and big flakers. I know there are some of us scraping by. I want you to remember your small contributions do help to lower your debt more quickly !!!

Me I am a visual debter --- I love to see my debt go DOWN - even if it's just $5.00 and $10.00 I want to see the numbers and see my progress grow but grow in a negative -- confused ---yeah me too!

Anyhoooo

One of my NOT favorite jerky cards sends me a statement that says if I do not charge anything else on my card, and just pay the minimum on the balance that it will take me 16 years - YES SIXTEEN years to pay off my debt -

However, by adding only an additional 8 dollars to that payment every month - and that is totally something I can do --- I will have the balance paid off in --- get this --- 3 years !!!! (a savings of hundreds of dollars in interest - nearly 2 Thousand dollars actually according to the jerks)

Can you believe the difference !?!?!

However, that means I have to consistently pay nearly $50.00 for the next 3 years and that's fine (meaning when the minimum goes down by payment has to stay near $50.00)

I just want flakers to see the difference you are making in your future

Do not get discouraged by small amounts - they seriously help !!

Much love and flakes

Your jerky card did you a huge favor by letting that one slip! They just cost themselves a few thousand dollars, didn't they? LOL.

But I second what you said. I can't tell you how many weeks I'd have nothing more than the change from the bottom of my purse to flake, but I flaked it. It all adds up, and your example with your credit card proves it. We did have some weeks in there where we literally had to use that change for a loaf of bread so I couldn't flake it, but the effort always counts, no matter how little it may seem like at the time. =c)

Thanks to Pres Obama's reform, I received a similar notice on my revised bill statement. I also received a policy statement that I could actually read n understand.

In my case it would take me 30 years to pay off and if I increased the payment by $120. Mo I could decrease it to 5 yrs.

I hope to be done by next year.
