At the beginning of the summer when I was looking for some cheap things for my kids to do, we got a family membership to our state's planetarium. It cost $100 dollars for the year for all 5 of us. It gets us unlimited entry into their Discovery center which has different exhibits on space and technology, and it also gets us in to the planetarium shows. It also gets us in free to all of the space and science museums in our area. We have one in our city that is specifically for little kids and we've been there 2 times in the last week alone. Free! It has also gotten us into the Boston Museum of Science for free and a Children's museum in Maine that was awesome! They also have this museum partnership program where each month we can get into a different museum or activity for free. A few months ago, we got 5 hockey tickets for free. This month we were able to get tickets to the Symphony. My husband doesn't want to go, so I invited a friend of mine that is into music. We're busy planning our night and it is going to be so much fun! We're going to a little mexican restaurant that serves tacos with all fresh ingredients, then we're heading over to the symphony! This one membership has allowed us to do things that we would have never been able to afford. The Boston Museum of Science tickets alone would have cost $90 dollars for all of us! The hockey tickets - $60+ because we had season ticket holder seats that were awesome, the symphony tickets- $110!
Holy Cow! I am so happy that I found this opportunity because I always would have assumed that a family membership to anything would have been too extravagant for us. I wouldn't be surprised if this one membership saves us $1000 dollars by the end of the year!

Very smart move Abbie.

Good Deal! It proves there are opportunities out there. I am so glad you are enjoying it!
I am looking into a free winter festival for this weekend for my kids. I will stress no eating out and pack some sandwiches! I hope to get them on a sleigh ride!
