Not that I am overly religious, but I can't believe I forgot about it completely (maybe

It would be harder if DH drank soda too but since I was the only one in the house that did all I had to do was wait for that last case to be gone then my own stubborn pride wouldn't let me pick up another case the next time I was at the store. It still doesn't mean that I haven't spent the last few days desperatly prowling through the house hunting for a soda just in case I tucked one somewhere and forgot about it. I'm also noticing how many calories regular drinks have! I miss my no calorie diet coke :(

Not sure if it will help or not, but the thing that made giving up soda easier for me was reading the ingredients. ICK.

I am an avid water drinker now, lol. A lemon or lime slice and I'm all good to go!

I know you can find a study out there to prove whatever you want, but I have read several times that there are studies that show artificial sweeteners have a worse impact on blood glucose levels than regular sugar..ie, another reason diet soda isn't good for you.

And good luck. I've "given up" soda so many times and I slide back. It's a measure of stress levels for me. I only cave into soda when the stress is way out of hand.
