Where is your thinking spot?

Usually when I am walking I let my mind wander through goals and how to solve problems. Sometimes it is the bath tub. Unfortunately, neither of those places has a calculator near them so I often come up with my ideas there and do the math later.

Yesterday I was thinking about how to make extra money, again. I think about it periodically because it would make things easier. Or would it? I have burnt myself out with working too much before, I don't get to work out so I am grumpy and I see my kids less. I guess I wonder if I could make money online. But, others have tried and failed(i'm not much of a writer like Sarah). I guess if it was easy to make money online others would be doing it too. I have thought about getting another job and just doing the ordering and the books for my store, but then it would have to be a pretty good job to make more than I am now(to justify paying staff) and I would have travel(20 min each was opposed to 5min each way like I do now, yes I know I am spoiled). So I guess I will come back to it and keep my ears open. I think I am in love with an idea to make more money to fund my kids education so I can get on with my other life goals. LOL. Nothing is ever easy is it??

So. Where do you come up with your brilliant ideas on what to do with your money? And when? Does it happen in the middle night? After the kids go to bed? When the bad bills come your way?

Just curious? :)

Oh Bex I would've LOVED to be at that game last night! It was crazy just in my house with DH, the kids and I! I couldn't imagine how awesome the atmosphere would've been in the arena!

In regards to the OP, I'm a lot like Norma. Night is the worst time for me, always has been. Not just the money, but custody stuff, the kids, etc...once my mind starts it doesn't stop!

My best thinking is mid-morning after I've had a cuppa coffee (or 5!). Strangely, I used to think I was best at my computer but realized in the past few months that I do best in my playroom, while the dayhome kids are having free play! I have a clipboard & paper, little calculator and a pen. There's a certain satisfaction I get with a putting ink on paper, kwim? DH hates all the papers this is creating tho lol...I do all my menu planning, dayhome planning, financial work etc on loose leaf....oh well! I think it takes me back to high school or something, having to do that stuff by hand.

I must admit that I giggled at the thought of you ladies who think the best in the bathtub (with or without calculator lol). Little visions of you as accountants crunching #s in the bathtub! lol!
