March. Ok well, I think maybe we did list our goals but I can't find it to bump and I don't remember what mine are LOL!
**I am hoping my sales improve from Feb and Jan. It has been pretty slow. I don't know if that is a goal or a wish...I will do what I can to increase it. I must also watch my credit line closely as it has not come down yet and might get a touch worse before it gets better.
**track student loan payment on ticker. It will give me hope to put it at under 20 thousand dollars. Gosh that is a big number it seems today.
**Snow flake to the kid fund(ticker number two). This my main target at the moment and will receive all my snowflake fury and wrath. LOL!
**try to keep March lower for spending. Feb was brutal. I have one kid's birthday but it should not be too cost intensive.

My March Goals:
March Goals
1$ Keep my food budget under $1,000 instead of 1,200
2$ Use the money saved on food to order supplies for DS's birthday party (April)
3$ Start repaying my parents. Sad to say I have not done so yet. Not that they are asking.
4$ Fund the baby e-fund. Sadly it was at $100 at the start of the month and now is at $70. No money put into it during February :(
5$ Make DH deal with the one CC that has not been paid in months. I think he's in a good spot to negotiate something with them...but I'm worried if he leaves it any longer it will go to collections. Unfortunately, it's his card so there's not much I can do.
6$ Live on cash. For some reason that didn't work last month.
7$ DH's bonus is hopefully coming on March 15th (cross your fingers!) Rumour is $2,700 after tax. YAY NEW DRYER! But I'm not sure what to do with the rest of it. Need to figure that out, and do something responsible. It is very very tempting after months of doing without, to do something "fun" with that money.
Sigh. Old habits die hard!

In March, I will:
Look into opening a ROTH IRA retirement fund. There are new laws I need to look into, I am considering converting my traditional IRA.
We have a few home projects going on. I would love to continue to work on these, but do only what is possible to do with cash.
I also need to research a new laptop. Once I pick one out, I will save & pay cash for it.
Flake a minimum of $150 to my car loan.
Good luck to everyone on your goals!

1. I want to pay off at least one small debt in March. I have my eye on one thats about $400 that should be manageable.
2. I really need to stick to using only my alloted weekly budget for groceries and gas. I always end up dipping into the bank account once the cash is gone and I need to stop.
3. DH and I need to set up some kind of system for blow money. Right now if we want something we just take it from wherever we can and try and make it balance in the end. Everyone knows that doesn't work so I need to again take the cash and make it stick.
4. Youngest DS turns 2 this month so I need to set aside funds for his cake and gift. He won't have a real party since he is so young but we will do a small celebration at home.

Well... know that DH is getting paid again and I actually have something to work with again, my March goals are:
* Redo the budget spreadsheet to reflect actual income again;
* Tax refund was deposited today, so I need to revisit what we are using it for with DH, and hopefully it will go as planned and we can make some headway with it;
* Have Efund fully funded by month's end;
* All bills paid on time going forward; and
* My parents are in town for a week for ODD's birthday, not to go overboard on things while they are here!
March goals...
I hope/believe that I'll get my tax refund before the end of March, which will allow me to:
1. Fund my baby e-fund to $1,000.
2. Pay back my mom the money she fronted us for the insulation project.
Outside of that...
3. Pay off debt #2 (!), which will give me a big $400 monthly flake starting in April.
4. Stick to our monthly dining/entertainment budget - and don't dip into the grocery budget to fund take-out if the dining budget is busted. Especially if it's just because I "don't feel like cooking tonight".
That's all I can think of for now...starting slow. :)
oh- march. is it a goal to have nicer weather?? sigh.
goals for march:
1. do not go over our budgeted amount while on vacation. we have planned and saved and we will accomplish this trip with money to spare (right?!?).
2. pay off at least 5,000 in debt. that's a hefty amt, but we will be able to accomplish it with a payout from an old insurance policy we are surrendering (and switched to insurance more in line with our needs).
3. continue to track spending and stay within our budget. we rocked it in february, i have made adjustments for march to reflect some additional items... i think we will rock it again!
4. start a college fund for our baby. we will open the account with a small amt, but we have people who have been asking to contribute to it, so we should get one at least opened!
i think that's it. those are my goals. wahoo! for march- bring it on!
"4. Stick to our monthly dining/entertainment budget - and don't dip into the grocery budget to fund take-out if the dining budget is busted. Especially if it's just because I "don't feel like cooking tonight"."
I cannot tell you how often I do that!!! It begins to feel like free money after awhile. Especially if my freezer has a good stock and I don't need the entire weeks grocery money.
To stick to my grocery budget.
To put another $100 aside for spending money for our get away weekend in April.
