March. Ok well, I think maybe we did list our goals but I can't find it to bump and I don't remember what mine are LOL!
**I am hoping my sales improve from Feb and Jan. It has been pretty slow. I don't know if that is a goal or a wish...I will do what I can to increase it. I must also watch my credit line closely as it has not come down yet and might get a touch worse before it gets better.
**track student loan payment on ticker. It will give me hope to put it at under 20 thousand dollars. Gosh that is a big number it seems today.
**Snow flake to the kid fund(ticker number two). This my main target at the moment and will receive all my snowflake fury and wrath. LOL!
**try to keep March lower for spending. Feb was brutal. I have one kid's birthday but it should not be too cost intensive.

I've been reading up a lot on the Traditional-to-Roth conversion.
I can come up with a couple of things off the top of my head, LOL.
1- Continue to sneak money into the EF. We can't normally keep one since the ends never meet (hard to ignore an EF when the mortgage is teetering on "or else") but I'm trying to nickel and dime it. (Currently at a whopping $50 - I'd like to see it at $100 by the end of March).
2- Get $250 to the sinking fund for real estate and personal property taxes. Again, this was usually skipped b/c we had too many immediate needs for the money. ($5 sitting there now from where I opened it).
3- Make sure we save 30% of his side money for income tax. We normally let our tax refund absorb the expense at filing time, but we're making an effort to save it as we go since he has so much work right now. We may end up with a nice savings account at the end of the year if we keep it up! (I just opened this account with ING and it has $30 in it. It *should* have several times that amount but I'll settle for getting it to at least $500 in March).
4- Flake at least $1000 in March.
5- See debt fall under 60k.
FLINGING DEBT:
I will be making my last car payment in March and purchasing my car once the lease is due. So, I have to get things lined up for that (saftied, e-check, obtain certified cheque). I am going to set my ING account to continue to take out the payment for the car and put it into a tax free savings account. My insurance should go down as well, so I will put the savings in as well.
Not to go over $100 spending money per week, even once.
To write down all expindutures for the month. I slacked on this last week.
My home renovation fund is all tapped out, so I hope to start rebuilding that again so we can finish our living room furniture purchases.
I'm pretty excited for March. By mid-March I hope to pay off my two smallest CCs and transfer one of the larger CCs to a 0% offer or something fairly low. I will then have only two CCs. I'm also trying to get my total debt under $10,000 by April 1.

Here are mine:
1) Save the remaining balance of boarding school WITHOUT touching the tax refund or pet sinking fund (I do like a challenge don't I). That would mean coming up with about $500 more dollars. Not sure how I will do this, but that's why it's a goal and not something that I'm just doing.
2) Use refund to do some minor house repairs that will need to be done if I sell the house (fireplace ~ 500, screen door ~ 50)
3) Use the refund to get efund back up to 1k. If I don't get the job then use the refund to get efund up to 2k.
4) File taxes so I can do all the previous with the refund, lmao!!! I'm still waiting on two slips that are notoriously late every year!!!
5) Prepare my April action plan: This could mean anything from planning to sell the house and move if I get the job, to which debt (car vs. student loans) to tackle next!

Finish reading the DR book. I am reading it in spanish, since the english version didn´t come in time. My plan had been for me and my dh to do it together in CR but didn´t work out with the library. He is going to read it after me and now his sister wants to read it and order a copy for her son who just filed bankruptcy.
BTW it has been great and very motivating. I am really excited to see dh opinion afterwards
We now have 1,000 e-fund thanks to tax return. I am working now on getting 500 for our sinking fund. I think this will be possible since we are living a lot cheaper down here.
Not to use the cc the only thing we are going to put on it is our 3 nights of hotel at the beach which will be under 200 and I will pay that off right away when we get back. I am really hoping that we will continue to not use cc when we get back. Even though we always pay it off we always over spend but dh is hard to motivate and that makes me slack off :).
I am going to make a new budget and rework some things.
I snowflake and extra 70 towards our car payment since I no longer have student loans.
That is it I think, now I only I could print this and stick it to my wallet!

Already making progress on March goals! I've paid about $1500 to debt for the month so far and hope to pay about $4000 more, depending upon getting money back from an overpayment on my mortgage when we refinanced.
