March was definitely better than February. The second job is helping a lot, as did the refinance on the mortgage. I'm still trying to budget ahead since we don't know what DH will be bringing in come September.
I have to schedule the rest of my bills for March, but it appears that I'll be very, very close to the $10,000 mark, which was my goal.
Goals for April: -Get total debt down to $8000 -Pay for DD's birthday without using CCs (should not be a problem) -Write up our wills and have them notarized -Get an estimate on jacking up the front of the house
I also need to refocus on my budget, especially my food bill. It's easier to live on a budget when I'm not so darn busy!
I say BRING IT ON APRIL! I am ready for a new month!
March was better financially than April but harder emotionally because of the divorce. Life is always a trade off isn't it?
I am about 50% of the way to my debt reduction goals - mostly because my husband and I will be splitting our debt 50/50 in our separation - but also because I have been being MUCH more careful with my spending and not using credit AT ALL!
My big goal for April is to take the proceeds from the sale of our house (I am praying for an April sale) and put the proceeds to pay off the consolidation loan.
Everything certainly feels full of possibility for upcoming months but a little scary too as I wait for it to unfold.

Ugh!
Let's see, we skidded backward in March pretty badly.
