I have cooked shrimp, (it was BOGO...I love BOGO weeks) & was supposed to make a stir fry with it - but the produce at the store on Sunday was terrible!

What is everyone else making tonight?

MMMM shrimp! Love it. You could add it to your pasta to stretch it. Fettucine or with a red sauce. Or make quesadillas? Darn! Now I want my fettucine I make!! Maybe another weekend.

I have farmer sausage out(pork sausage). It is really tasty. I will do it in the oven with bbq sauce on it likely. I have some left over rice I need to use up and I am steaming fresh brocolli. I have started taking the tough part off the stalk and using the middle of it too. It makes it go a little further. I just find the outside too tough and I can't do it or end up spitting some of it out lol. We have a kid activity tonight so the sausage is thawing at home right now. I might cut up some raw veges if it doesn't look like it wil be enough for everyone. Prep & cook time 15 min, eat in 15 min, change clothes and out the door again!

I'm not sure what I will do tomorrow as I have a meeting after work. I'm thinking about chicken caesar salad. take out the breasts in the morning. Fry the chicken at night. wash the lettuce and spin it in the salad spinner. Throw some butter on that bread I need to use up with a little garlic salt for garlic bread. Supper is served!yeah, I like it. I will do that tomorrow!

What a funny coincidence Melissa -- I'm making shrimp for dinner as well!

I'm going to try a recipe in this month's Chatelaine magazine.

I have no clue lol! And it's 5pm so I guess I should start figuring it out. I have some salmon but the kids aren't real big fans of it and DH is working so that would be a poor dinner choice. I made bangers and mash last night but my brain went on a temporary vacation while shopping and I only bought enough sausage for one night so no leftovers :( I think I've narrowed it down to grilled cheese and tomato soup.

I was really naughty and got take out Chinese. An order of steamed rice and sweet and sour pork. I looooove Chinese food but anything deep fried tends to give me the worst stomach ache. Oh well. Around 3:30 someone at work heated up the most yummy smelling food that sort of smelled like Chinese food and all my willpower vanished.

I'm so allergic to soy it's not even funny.
Guess I should prepare my 29-yr old body for bad menopause :P lol.

I tried to be a vegetarian once. But I can't eat peanuts, lentils, legumes, or soy. Killed that idea in a hurry. LOL!

late posting to this one! i never catch these dinner threads the day they are posted. last night we had penne with chicken and veggies. i needed to use a bunch of veggies that i bought last week for something else that i didn't end up making. so it was nearly every veggie i had in the fridge- mushrooms, red onion, zucchini, yellow squash, cherry tomatos, and garlic. sauteed with salt and pepper and crushed red pepper. had some left over pesto so i tossed that in at the end. voila- took 20 minutes and it was yummy and healthy and i have leftovers for miles. yumm. not helpful now, but this kind of thing would have been great with shrimp, too.

tonight i think it's steak and asparagus, it's the only veggie i didn't put in the pasta last night so in need to use it up!
