Whether you're a SAHM who can change her schedule on a whim or a 9-to-5er with a great boss, what is something you are particularly grateful for in your job?
I get to telecommute 1 - 2 days per week which is wonderful for my domestic

I'm a SAHM. My favorite perk is being able to spend the whole day in my PJs if I want to. Also I get to go outside and mess around in the garden with my plants anytime I want when the weather is nice.
The greatest perk for our family with DHs work is that he gets a company truck to take home with him. They also cover all of his fuel and since he works an hour away this is an amazing benefit.
The job I've had since Sept. 2008 has a great salary for the field, amazing extended benefits, and it has meant I have learned a lot of new skills and I have developed a confidence that I have never had in myself before.
All that said, it's "temporary" and ends at the end of June. I am not likely to get the job again due to seniority and other job cuts. So I have to take my new-found confidence and see what else I can do as I have certainly gotten used to making a decent amount of money :)
I have to say there are a bunch of benefits to the job. I DO work in an office which is MUCH easier on my body than the truck driving I did in my 20's and early 30's was!!
I am grateful for the benefits my job offers.

I do home daycare so I'm here when my son gets home from school.
My new job is less then 5 minutes from my new house (not sure if thats a job benefit though since I bought the house after I got the job!).
Its also very fast paced (which I LOVE) so I am never bored, and it pays me stupidly well!

Hmmmm lots of perks.
My job: I can wear jeans and t-shirts and comfortable shoes. I have a very nice older gentleman in town that is my friend that takes my deposits for me to keep my credit line under control so that is a huge perk. Love that guy, he is a great friend and sometimes when I'm a good girl, he will make me egg and cheese sandwiches. I swear whenever I want, and that is generally often I will not lie. If I need milk or bread I just grab it before I leave. The town supports my business and so do the other businesses in town. I supply the golf course with liquor and do lots of liquor permits every year, I have two great coffee crowds that come daily. I can sell my avon out of the store, ladies can pick up books and orders here and drop off wish lists for me to get them. I don't think I would sell avon if I didn't own the store. It would be a lot of running around and not worth it. So there fore I get lots of free items and gifts/shampoo/makeup for very low discounts and for free mostly because I buy things with my profits. I get free clothing items and such from my liquor reps. I am 7 min away from work and my kids take the bus from the town I own the store in. They just walk right from here to get the bus(well the older one does, the youngest still has another 2 years at the elementary school here in town). If I need to book a day off I usually can for banking or the doctor as my staff is really great. I love them all and that is a huge perk in and of itself(they are never late, they clean, and rarely mess up their daily cash outs!!).
BF's job: I don't have health benefits or retirement match ups but BF does. He put me and the kids on his health plan as it is very low cost. He has a retirement matching program up to a certain percent from his company. His company has cabins they let the employees use in the summer and a condo in Fargo you can put your name in. Also he gets a bonus at Christmas time and very nice Christmas party. I think they have BBqs and that sort of thing in the summer for their employees too.
Jeez, I think I am a pretty lucky girl!!
I can flex my schedule around dr appts or having to pick up DGD from daycare.
I also have rheumatoid arthritis so the days I'm having a flare I can work slow and no one complains.
I get my extended medical benefits paid for
2-3 weeks holidays
so alot of things that I am grateful for in my job.
