Weekend Expenses $$?

I am having trouble cooking lately. It is likely because this is my 11th day in a row working and I have to work tomorrow too.

Tonight BF and I are doing our taxes and I have no desire to cook so we may get take out. I just want it done and over with.

I work Saturday 8-2 and then I will likely do housework and never ending laundry or do some outside work. Then BF's sister is coming out to visit(to do their taxes) and his mom is cooking a big ham dinner.

Sunday I hope to golf. I will need cash for a hand cart and misc(probably beer! LOL, and maybe a cheap dinner). PLus I will have to pay for my membership but my business will pay for it.

Sunday is my only day off so I am going to make the most of it!

Big expenses this weekend?

No big expenses unless our bbq propane tank runs out. Used the bbq yesterday for the first time this year. So now until fall that is pretty much our standard way of cooking. We do have to fill up the other tank we have as it is for the patio heater, but that can wait until end of month payday.

Gee Karen, I wish we lived in the same town because I'd bring you over some leftovers.

Jumping on the double decker doesn't sound lame. Just pretend you are a tourist and pack your camera and act like one. We still do that occasionally and my DH has lived here all his life and I have been here 30 years. You just never know what you will discover. When I first moved away from home (many years ago) I would hop on a bus on the weekend and just go where ever the route went. It really helped me to figure out my new city (Edmonton) at the time. Now I'm in a much smaller city so DH and I drive or walk to explore.

Saturday should be OK on expenses, unless DH finds some plants at the farmers coop.

No major expenses here except to get husband soft foods to eat as he just had 3 wisdom teeth removed. Right now he's resting but seems to be in pain (the pain killers haven't kicked in yet). So it will be me taking care of him this weekend and hopefully he will be better in a few days. The next 24-48 should be the worst of it.

I have no kids from noon Saturday until sometime Sunday afternoon.

We opted out of going out of town but DH now wants to go out for dinner. We'd originally thought it would be a good weekend to stay home & bbq but it's supposed to be freezing cold & rainy of course...the past week or so has been killer hot & sunny but not on our weekend off!

So I imagine we'll spend money there, we're likely to end up at a really nice restaurant by my house that we've never tried before.

Other than that, groceries, and garage sale-ing. I need a wagon for my dayhome and did not buy the one with a trailer that was on sale for $90 all week, crossing my fingers I will find one at a garage sale this weekend!

This weekend is yet to be planned out. We still need to figure out the lawnmower situation. DHs bosses are still stalling on signing the union contract and now they're talking strike so we won't be buying the nice riding mower we had wanted. I think we'll just get a decent push mower and do the best we can with it. I'm not sure if we'll buy it this weekend or not. The HR dept messed up DHs paycheck this week and it was short 11 hours pay and a lot of rate work. Thankfully that

No kids weekend for us too! And boy have we earned it.
We are headed up to our cabin for the weekend, having dinner with DH's cousin and sister's families who we have not seen in months (we are usually with them every weekend as we all have cabins at the same lake.)
I need to get the graduation party list compiled, and do accounting stuff and business plans, so it is not all fun and games, but just not having to go to another tournament for kids will be great.

I got $677 from teaching (2nd job) this pay, which is about $50 more than I thought, so that basically got the food we needed for the weekend and I have everything else covered.

I bought the envelopes for DD's grad party invites and my graphic designer is doing a great card, so I will be having that printed next week. I am pricing catering for the party now and DH thinks we will be cooking ($10/person x 250 people.)

We will stop for dinner tonight, but it will be cheap, and DH pays for the gas on the way= (200 miles.) Kids car is full of gas as we are leaving DD18 home with it and she is staying at a friend's house (DSS16 is going to his mom's as kids have not seen their other parents now for over a month.)

I am excited to have 3 hours to talk with my best friend in the whole world!
