1. What is the first sign of spring for you? Have you done any kind of spring cleaning yet?
Warmer weather in general is all it takes for me. We just had our spring break, but unfortunately, it wasn't very nice until just a couple days ago. I've cleaned a couple rooms, but don't really "spring clean" until summer when I go from room to room cleaning, repainting, and making small repairs as needed.
2. Have you been planning for any weddings or graduations, Mother's Day, Father's Day celebrartions yet? Will your plans be different this year because of the debt or the economy? If you have to buy gifts, are you spending less? If you are receiving gifts, what are your expectations about what you think you will get? Are you happy to receive/give "green" as in ecologically aware gifts? What are your thoughts on giving cash as a gift in this economy?
Thankfully, no weddings or graduations to worry about. On mother's day weekend, I hope to go to TJ Maxx with DD and try on tons of stuff! (Yes, I am budgeting for that...we're both super thrifty). We keep our celebrations pretty low-key in general: a home cooked meal, eating outside, flowers fresh from the yard, or hiking/biking as a family. Stuff like that.
3. Are you sufferering from allergies? Can you share any tricks or advice to keep allergy care low cost?
That could totally be what's wrong with me! This is a recent development in the past couple of years. I'll try a neti-pot before I use drugs, though.

What are your thoughts on giving cash as a gift in this economy?Only plans so far are for Victoria day weekend to take DGD back to her parents after having her here for a couple of months. Mother's day may take MIL to breakfast, but as we go out to breakfast every sunday it won't be an additional expense,(bought her pressie at a swap meet this weekend)I don't usually give cash except to the younger tweens/teens as they are usually saving towards something big
3. Are you suffering from allergies? Can you share any tricks or advice to keep allergy care low cost? I have major allergies and mostly use nasonex, but have been using a Neilmed sinus rinse bottle (with saline)which seems to help and I don't seem to have to use as much medication, if my allergies are bad around bedtime I will take an OTC no name antihistamine (they make me sleepy)

***I can out my patio furniture. The tulips start to come up and there is a lot of raking involved.

***None of my staff ever wants to work on Mother's day and my ex always wants me to have the kids that day. Its not that I don't them, I do, but I never enjoy it because of work and guilt. As far as my mother goes. We usually do something a different day.

***I have been sneezing occasionally but it isn't anything severe.
1. What is the first sign of spring for you? Have you done any kind of spring cleaning yet? We went to Florida for spring break with high school seniors, that was fun and felt great to be in the sun. I am trying to clean a bit and donate things, but time is an issue with me. I am teaching a TON more (3 nights a week now) and working long hours at my first job, and both kids are playing varsity sports, so No, basically I would love time to spring clean, but it is not happening until fall when DD is in college.

I am having a HUGE graduation/50th anniversary party - with a band, tons of food, at a picnic hall for over 250 people. I am so behind schedule it is NOT funny. Invites are not out yet. We also have a memorial for Dh's grandma next weekend, Mother's Day and my father's birthday in between. Can we say CRAZINESS???
3. Are you suffering from allergies? Can you share any tricks or advice to keep allergy care low cost? I have no spring allergies, but DD does do Claritan D for her's. Mine are hayfever in late August. Advice is to shower before bed to get pollen out of your hair at night, and to take Echinacea.

1) Warm weather! I guess I'm doing a major spring cleaning . . . as in a new house, lol. I can't wait for this to be done!
2) Just mothers and fathers day (ummm, when is mothers day again?) I have enough money in my gift fund to cover gifts for both!
3) Boy do I ever have hayfever. Sadly, most OTC stuff makes me loopy. The only kind I can uses is Aerius
