Weekend Expenses $$?

I thought I would post this today as I think people don't see it soon enough to post if they want to. Planning ahead for the weekend is great way to set limits and think of something fun and/or free or inexpensive to do.

It is supposed to rain here all weekend. I really want to build a fire pit but I don't think that will happen. We will do it at some point when the weather is better. We live rurally and I talked to my BF about a few days ago. He mentioned an old rusted ring they had and didn't use much in another spot(reusing and item so that makes me happy). On our cement patio his mom left(his parents old house) a bunch of patio stones(shaped like a piece of pie with the good yummy middle part bit off LOL). I would like to clean them up and place them/stack them around this rusted ring. We have lots of trees that always need cleaning up and will have lots of free wood to burn. I think if I put it my back yard we will use it for hot dogs and marshmallows. Cheap entertainment for the kids! And I love the smell of natural burning wood and a good fire!

However, it is raining I feel some board and card games coming on. Perhaps I will do some cooking for week and grocery shopping.

What is everyone doing?

As long as it stops raining here we will be finishing our fence panel. Started it last weekend by pouring the concrete for the fence posts. Also hope to get a bit more of the yard work done as well. So expenses should be at a minimum as we have the supplies already.
Farmer's Market opens on Saturday so will have to go and check out what's available for bedding plants though, so that will be about $20.

We're going to see a movie and go to dinner on Saturday, that's from our entertainment budget.

Since we did not get around to going to Kohl's last weekend for DH's birthday gift, we may go Sunday since it's suppose to rain here also.

My daughter is teaching a first-aid class this weekend and, for the first time in over a year, I will have the apartment ALL to myself!!

It's been raining here too...bleh...
Supposed to stop on Saturday which is good because our little guy (3 yrs old) has his first ever soccer match! And then 9 yr old has practice in the afternoon!

Other than that, groceries and nothing else.
We have a pile of junk in the driveway, no way to get it to the dump so we may pay someone to get rid of it - we need to get our RV out of storage so I can get it ready before camping season starts!

LOL Kate at the beading. That's why I stopped scrapbooking...except because of kids not a cat lol!

It's time to stock up on groceries, because the cupboard is BARE. I'll be doing a major shop this weekend, so I'd better break out the sales sheets.

DH has a long rehearsal on Sunday, so we're going to try to get some projects done around the house on Saturday. We've got to start cleaning out the basement and garage, so that they can be far more useful to us in terms of storage. Right now they're a MESS, and far too valuable spaces to be wasted!

Saturday we are going to visit an old friend of dh's he hasn't seen in a really long time (they have never got to meet our youngest 2). I am making linguini salad and picking up some pop to take so maybe $15 tops. Sunday I am not leaving our house. We are going to clean up and work on some projects. I have two large collage frames I want to fill and hang, and I really need to clean out our closets and start figuring out what all we need for summer. So our only real expense for the weekend will be grocery shopping

Saturday is supposed to be gorgeous! And we are going to spend it in the car and in church. Dhs nephew/Godson has his first communion on Saturday so we have to go to that. This is the SIL that lives 2 hours away so it is just far enough and just long enough that we lose the entire day. It will cost $50 in gas, plus a gift for DHs nephew and probably a meal out. The total will probably be about $100 for the day. Now I wish Robyn's figurative $100 was real because just looking at that number makes me cringe. I don't usually tally up a days cost like that ahead of time but it really is an eye opener!

I also have to do a major grocery shop this weekend. I guess that is going to be relegated to Sunday and be done in the nasty weather. I hate grocery shopping in nasty weather! I've managed to shuffle aside $200 in grocery budget surplus over the last 2 months. I'm hoping to use most of this on a trip to Costco and maybe just a little bit on some yummy gourmet cheese. That would really make my day. And perhaps a few bottles of nice beer. I'd love to have a bottle of wine but I get migranes :(
