Sounds scary, but I think only good things will come out of it. A small sacrafice now could equal big rewards later. Perhaps being in a higher position could lead to a little more flexibility later (even though it doesn't seem that way now). It will lead to accelerated pay raises even after the initial raise. That could help you fund and grow your daytime business.
Yes you have some thinking to do.(especially about whether or not to have another baby because that would change things yet again would it not?)
I would take the promotion. You don't know what will happen down the road. The extra money and experience may come in handy to pay off bills and for future positions. When one child goes to Kindergarten is it full time or half time? or how would that effect day care and costs? That is one thing to think about.
Plus if you do decide to have another baby, then you can make a baby fund and contribute to it because you must decide if it would be worth it go back at all with 3 kids. Hopefully the debt would be less by then and the payments as well.
Good luck and congrats on the promo offer!(do a bit more math with all the different options)
Thanks for the kind words. My heart tells me to pass it up. I feel like I still have plenty of years to work (I'm 29) so at least 30 years. It's kind of funny because it is the job that I originally applied for when I was hired for the other position. After I started working there I had always thought that even though it is less high and mighty I don't really mind because I get to do a lot of decision making at home and it is nice sometimes to just show up and do my work.
Hmmm... the practical side of me feels though that I should do it.
Good points. If I didn't have two little ones I would for sure be all over the opportunity. I have also thought about DR thoughts about working a little extra now to do what you really want later. Which would be why I
For what it is worth, my advice would be to take the job. In reality, as long as your daughters have someone that is loving and kind caring for them, they will be fine. You are thinking with your ADULT mind how they will feel.
That is what I have been feeling in my heart. The logical side of me thinks well how will I make this work because it is practical to take a job that will build your resume and make more money especially in this economy. I had also been thinking well if I take it I could homeschool, so I have been feeling a lot of pressure today that I have to decide if we are going to do that or not either. Now after reading you message I feel like, I don't have to take the job even if I don't homeschool. Yesterday, I was telling a friend

As Norma mentioned, there are pro's and con's to each decision and it
