Oh I've had lots of those nights where I wake up so early for no reason and can't go back to sleep. I find what helps with that is having audio books on my mp3 Walkman. It's tiny and I can stick the earphones in and put the Walkman under my pillow and just having a voice reading to me either 1. calms me down if I start having a panic attack in the middle of the night and/or 2. gives me something to focus on if the thoughts that run through my head in the middle of the night are driving me insane.

As for keys, I have a hook right inside the door. The keys live on the hook. It's the only way I can manage keys ;)

That sounds like quite a day you had yesterday. I know what you mean about eating lunch at your desk. Sometimes, I want to go online and I get interrupted with questions I can't readily answer without doing some digging. Then my lunch gets cold and my session on a website times out.

My awake too early hour is usually 4:00 AM but for some reason last night it was like I had took a sleeping pill.

I guess I am late responding to this but oh well.

I often wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. It is terrible. Sometimes reading helps.

It is the worst sinking feeling when you can't find your keys. I hate that! Glad you guys found them.

It is Thursday today and I don't even care. I have to work this weekend today so it doesn't matter what day it is!

I used to wake up a lot at night as well. Usually some of my best thinking happened at night while staring at the ceiling. And then the more I thought about something the more awake I got. I always keep a book and a flashlight next to the bed so I can read without disturbing DH. Its been awhile since I've had trouble sleeping. Now it's exactly the opposite. For the last six months or so I've been sleeping like the dead.

DH loses keys all the time. It drives me up the wall!

I saw a great idea at Home Depot.

Magnetic primer. No jokes. Prime with that stuff, then you paint with chalkboard paint, and you have a magnetic chalkboard.....your keys stick RIGHT TO THE WALL!!! I seriously am considering doing this in my back entrance.
