Looking Ahead to June

Did anyone do well with their May goals? I really did not do well at all. I'm doing OK, but just maintaining. I sure am not going to hit my goal this month, which was to get down to $9000. Between a very high vet. bill and DS's prom (we paid for the tux, he paid everything else), I'm happy I'm not in worse shape than I currently am. My goal for May should have been "HOLD STEADY", but I got all full of myself :).

Anyway, my goal for June will be to get just below the $10,000 mark. I'll be happy with $9,999!

Anyone ready to post June goals?

Dee

That is a truly admirable goal, Stacy. I've seen you in action. You can do it!

This graduation party has tanked any goals I had.
I also had to pay for DD's prom dress, altering, shoes and tickets as she is taking someone from another school. (Her best friend at her old HS.)
Her dad promised to pay for her dress, have not seen a dime yet - oh wait, I have not seen a dime he promised for 3 years! Last promise was for college admission fees, nope, didn't remember a check for that either.
And her end of year banquets and such are preventing her from returning her to her job until June 12th.
We have not sold my BMW yet, and I have the new car payment due on the 7th.
Once we get the car sold, we can lower the insurance, and I can pay off two debts and get the Efund back in place. I also worked a LOT teaching in May, so I will see a nice check June 10 for that as well.
SOooo I hope to see a BIG turnaround in June.

Hi, thanks for posting. I bumped May so people could peek from last month.

MAY 2009 GOALS:

***Just keep saving.
Yes, doing that.
***Try to be reasonable about store budgeting and ordering
Yes, doing that, credit line is ok--not low but not going over
***research a washer and dryer and tires for the truck(to purchase with tax refund if we get one)
Yes, we did get the truck tires, and the tax return we thought we were going to yeah! We have been looking at sale flyers and have decided what we want for a washer and dryer but have not purchased yet.

JUNE 2010 Goals:(I guess I had May 2009 goals oops!)

***Just keep saving and exploring those options
***Pay for two camps(all budgeted)
***Try to figure out holidays for kids and Bf and I
***Don't work too much!

May was not really good but not terrible I guess.

June goals:

1. Scrimp & cut as much as possible. I'm losing $1200 in cash flow so I need to cut every corner possible.

2. Not let camping costs get crazy.

3. Redo the budget, because I didn't even really do one for May.

4. Research bankruptcy and hopefully keep DH's head out of the sand....

5. Make plans for July after our camping trip. Tanks to grandparents, I will be down to one kid for a while so DH & I were talking about camping somewhere close to his work if we can swing it.

For May I played it easy because I was just certain it was going to be a bad month and boy was it!

My goals were to:
1. keep birthday expenses under $150 for my oldest two.
