Congrats on being Over The Rainbow, as we have referred to this surgery on these boards!!
I too had the itchiness and as soon as the PS gave me the ok, I was rubbing cocoa butter with vitamin e on the areas. I would use the thick, butter stuff and rub in between my palms to soften and warm it up before applying. And now, over a year later, I still rub the lotion type on them everyday. Also I wore light weight cotton tshirts under my bra and against my skin. It really helped with itchiness and having to wash my few bras all the time cause of occasional spotting from the sutures.
It did take a while for my nipples to calm down. For quite awhile they were always on alert and very sensitive. I think the t-shirts helped with that too, as the soft cotton was very comfortable against them. They are great now and react when they should and the sensitivity, although different is still good.
Happy healing ~ and celebrate your new girls! I know I celebrate mine every day!!
