Hi, I went in to get a consult with my plastic surgeon(October)and after my insurance approved it (which took about 3 weeks), I could have had my surgery the next month.
Sandy~ Best of luck tomorrow, good thoughts and prayers go with you. Let us know how you made out when you feel up to it and remember, follow the doctors orders and rest!! You will love the new you!! Nancy
Hi~ From the time I thought about the surgery, got my referral letter, saw the PS and everything was 2 1/2 months total. But I do know some women wait a long time as it can be quite a fight depending on the insurance company. I had my surgery in August of 2007 and it was the best decision I ever made for myself. I am so much happier and healthier now. I can exercise so much easier and have even started a little bit of running in my walks, something I could have never done before - fear of black and blue eyes!! LOL!! Anyway, best of luck to you on this journey and keep us posted how you make out and your surgery date. Nancy
I'm in Ontario as well and after my initial consultation I got a call about 2 months later, they offered me an appointment for the next month. I turned that down and took one for two months later instead, it gave me the time to save for my lipo. The lipo is TOTALLY worth it, even if you have to finance it I would recommend doing so. The sides where I had the lipo took the longest to heal and to tell you the truth they are still numb(it's been 3 month) but I'm slowly getting feeling back and am VERY happy with my results!!
I had my consultation around the beginning of December and got a call scheduling my surgery for March 6th, around the beginning of January so it sounds normal. Good luck :)
