I'm very sorry you are going through this. I am by no means an expert in BK, but I have heard from others that if you qualify (which I'm sure the lawyer probably let you know when you met him) then you stop paying your CC bills in order to save the money to file? Perhaps you could ask on the debt quesitons and answers board (there are some people who know their stuff over there!)


Alternatively, feel free to post your income and expenses here. The ladies (and duke) are great at finding things that you haven't even thought of to save money.


You can also come here to vent when you need to. We're good for that too!

The cobra payments possibly sound a little high. if it was an involuntary seperation then he might be entitled to a reduced premium if the seperation happened between 9/1/08 and 2/28/10.
