Can you wear your daughter's clothes?

I just realized that I have a whole closet of clothes at my disposal. I optimistically approached DD closet and tried on a few things. After hearing some seams tear, I realized a few things.

1. I looked really silly in DD's "Hello Kitty" shirt
and 2. I am just too fat for her clothes.

What happened, I used to be a size 6? (I get hand me downs from MY mom.) I can wear some of DD's bigger T-shirts, but sadly, she has most of those with her. No "new" clothes for me. Does anyone else try to steal clothes from their offspring?

Linda, does your dd like Torrid? I don't think they are cheap but not super expensive either. I think that when it first opened it was like Hot Topic but in plus sizes and there probably were not enough plus size teen girls that wanted to dress kind of punk to support a business, so now they are more trendy/stylish and can appeal to young adults too. I was reading recently that the chain has grown a lot and has stores in malls all over. If she doesn't know the store, they have a website too: www.torrid.com

They have some very cute clothes I'll mark the site for Danyell and she can look at it. The clothes I buy Danyell look a lot like what the sell at Torrid but, they cost alot less.
It is a pain to go through everything just to pick out 2 or 3 thing at Ross but, I can get cute T's for loss than 10.oo dollars and cute tops for loss than 12.oo. jeans and short and dress pants` less than 16.oo dollars...I even bought her prom Dress there plus a prom dress for her best friend who is plus size... I paid less for both then it would have cost me for one some place else. Danyell is losing a few pounds working and now that she is more active`( So much more walking and going places instead of setting drawing and doing crafts and looking in the refrigerator every five minutes ) She has been doing exercises every other day and sticking with them..... I paid for her to go to curves for a year a couple of years ago and all she did was gain more weight. So she is now caring more about taking better care of her self. Thank for the site,...Linda
