You might want to reinforce to your husband that while you may luck out and get pregnant with no problem at all, the chances of miscarrying and other problems increase as you get older. So let him know that if he wants to have another child, you need to get started sooner rather than later because (a) it may take you a while to conceive and (b) there are increased chances of problems the older you get. Also, and this is something guys should know, while they can create babies longer than we can have babies, the quality of their sperm decrases with age as well.

Now, the question is, does he really want another child? Maybe he doesn't and this is his passive aggressive way of dealing with it? To be fair to you (and him), he needs to be truthful about what he wants. And if he does want another baby, you need to present him with the facts in a way that won't make him feel bullied, I guess! Maybe you can just remind him how nice sex feels without using condoms! :-) (Don't teenage boys use that line on their girlfriends all the time?!) And also that unprotected sex probably won't result in a baby for another year or so anyhow.

And if you want to tell him about my instances, I got married in my early 40's. Got pregnant at 42, 43, and 44. Just once each year. And I miscarried each time. (And I'm incredibly fit, healthy, and have never used drugs, smoked a cigarette or drank alcohol.) Now I'm 45, and haven't been able to get pregnant this year. Ask him if that's what he wants in his future! Explain to him that getting pregnant at 39 is a lot easier than getting pregnant (and carrying a baby full-term) in your 40's...

Anyhow, if I had known I'd be going through all this now, I think I would've had a baby on my own when I was still in my 30's.

That's my 2 cents. Feel free to ignore my ramblings!

HUGS!
