I had a m/c ( D&C ) in March...start ttc again in April. I was wondering how long it took to get a bfp again.

Thank you

My sister got pregnant about 6 weeks after miscarrying. (She was 38, though, so a little younger than us at the time.) Good luck, April!

Hi, I had a MC Jan 06 and didn't conceive again until Nov 07. That pregnancy also MC and I conceived the following month, Dec 07. I am currently 31w2ds. So, after 1 MC it look nearly a year and then after the next MC it was just 4-5 weeks.

I was wondering the same thing. I just misscarried at 6weeks. I wonder if how far along you were matters?

Kim,

My first miscarriage was when I was about 7-1/2 weeks...relatively early (although still heartbreaking, as you know, unfortunately). I miscarried right around the time that I would've gotten my period...and I got my period about a month after I miscarried. With my last miscarriage (17 weeks), it took about 1-1/2 months to get my period. So I think you're right--it does seem to have to do with how far along you were.

Good luck!!!

Lois

Hi Kim,

Sorry about your m/c. I also m/c at 6/7 weeks. I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat.

how long did it take you to get pregnant? Two long years for me.

My cycle return to normal the next month.

Good luck!

Wow, 2 years, that makes it even harder to lose, and you heard the heartbeat. I'm so sorry you had to go thru that. I hope this time it's quick for you like this cycle. Are you seeing a specialist? Did they have any thoughts on why you miscarried? Those are the answers I want. My Hcg #'s seemed so good, then it just ended?? I need to ask the Dr what I can do next time. Should they have tested for progesterone level as well as Hcg? Things like that I am not sure of...

We were on our third cycle when I got pg. The last time I actually tryed to get pg, I was 27yrs old and It took me 6months. I thought that was eternity. Now I'm 42 and can't really expect things to be the same.

I mc'd in Feb and got pregnant the end of June. I cant say when we started "trying". I dont think, in my heart, I ever stopped trying. I did start enjoying my husband more. Having an 18mo old and wanting another baby became so much of my focus that time with him was "structured" to say the least. After the mc, I slowed down, relaxed and let nature take its course. Luckily, it worked and I got pregnant again.
Im sorry for your loss and wish you all the luck in getting pregnant again soon.
HTH,
Tricia

Yes, 2 years, it was very hard after waiting that long. I'm not seeing a specialist because i will not do any fertility treatments because i'm not covered and i'm not covered for a RE. I did have all my blood work and my dh had a SA. I have not had a hsg though.

I believe they should of checked for progesterone levels and the hcg. When I mentioned it to my ob, she ordered the test and it came back low.

The only thing my ob told me about my M/C was it could of been my age. I should of had them look into it more but I was so sad at the time. It could of been my progesterone levels were low but they don't want to tell you that because my ob didn't order me the test. I had to request the test.
