Here's the deal. I'm 43 or will be in a month. I have a 24 year old son and 2 grandchildren. I am now pregnant. After the initial shock I really want this baby!!! I have read all kinds of stuff an the net about my problem but nothing seems to help. My doctor WILL NOT see me until the 4th of Feb. The problem: I am having brown discharge quite a bit but not enough to soak a pad and passing clots through it. Not large but streaky and often. I'm only 6weeks along and know these can be signs of a M/C. However I have had no pain, no bright red blood, I am still nauseated, my breast still tender you know the whole bit. In my paranoia I took another HPT today it's still positive. I hate to sound like an idiot but it's been A LOOOONNNGGG time since I have been pregnant. Has ANYONE eles ever had this happen and go on to have a healthy baby??? I REALLY REALLY want this child. I didn't think I could ever have another baby.

Unfortunately, that's how my m/c started.

Well, it seems I have officially misscarried. I went to the ER and my levels are to low for a viable pregnancy. We are sad but I have been through this before. I am going to keep my appointment with my Dr. on the 4th and have my hormones checked. Although this pregnancy was an accident we are going to try next time. It seems I have no problem getting pregnamt just staying that way. So, wish me luck and keep us in your prayers. Good luck to you all too.

So sorry for your loss. That is how I started on my journey of wanting another baby at 40. An oops pg. Now, Just want to be back in the game and have a healthy baby come home with me. I've had a lot of problems and I really don't know if it's possible, but we may try again. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you get pg again soon. Last summer I got pg right after a m/c. It's possible, but I reccomend you wait a least one cycle to try. Your Dr will have some advise on that as well. We're the same age, I'll be 43 on 4-30-65.

Thank you sooooo much for responding. It really helps to know that there are other women out there who have had a successful pregnancy.

Hi Carole,

Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. It's amazing how losing this baby has made me feel. I can't believe I actually WANT another child now. I also can't believe my better half feels the same way. I am so lucky to have him. He has been great through all of this. I'll let you know what happens. Thank you again.

My sister is 9 weeks and and 3 weeks ago she had the brown stuff, just as you described.

Because of her endometresis dr order ultrasound to make sure the baby implanted in the uterus, not because of the brown stuff, and heart beat was there.
