How can I choose? What would you do?

I have about a week to make a MAJOR decision (to me) with my pregnancy and I just don't know what to do. I'm looking for anyone that might have done any of these and what their opinions are.

I am 37 weeks along with a breech baby. My midwife told me at todays appointment that I have a decision to make by my next appointment next week (after I have another ultrasound to confirm that she is still breech).

1) Decide to have a C-Section. (This scares me TO DEATH!!!) I had a good friend that died 3 years ago from a C-Section and having her 3rd child. I know this is not the "norm", but when it's someone you makes it more real.

2) Decide to try to have the baby breech-IF the doctors at the hospital I go to will allow it.

3) Schedule an aversion (sp?) and see if the hospital will give me the epidural for the procedure (there is NO other way I'm doing this w/o it) and then after the baby is turned, break my water to throw me into labor. Which I'm told that they would have to let the epidural wear off during those stages of labor because they would not want me on my back during the entire labor. Then turn the medicine back on later in the labor.

None of these appeal to me of course. All of them scare the heebie-jeebie's out of me.

Any thoughts, experiences etc.

Oh congratulations and well done for going through all of that so bravely. You've suffered so much for your little girl, but it is worth it. I wish you a really speedy recovery and buckets of enjoyment as soon as the pain stops!

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it. You guys are great and I've missed talking to all of you.

Recovery is getting better every day. I just can't wait for the incision to heal and life gets back to normal again. I guess I'm going to have to join the c-section board now. lol I have lots of questions. hehe

Rachelle-I'm sorry, but I'm confused by your post. Where are you seeing the pics of her? On a different posting? I didn't post any here. She doesn't have red I was confused. Her hair is completely black. I thought maybe you were mixing me up with someone else.

Dyan-I tried the nursing thing. It just didn't work out. I was so determined to have her nurse. I bought the expensive medella (sp?) pump and all. She just would not nurse and refused. I think I just wasn't producing anythink the first 4 or so days. I had several lactate specialist help me with no luck. After getting home, I tried using the pump and could barely get anything at all. It took me almost 2 hours to get 1 ounce. Then I tried to nurse was SO painful and nothing really coming out. I had to put her on the bottle to make sure she was getting enough milk. I was disappointed, but I guess it wasn't meant to happen.
