The contractions arent regular at all and generally come on only when I try to go for my afternoon walk with DD in the pushchair. The only way to get my tummy to soften up is to lay down on the ground. I can do most other things and not feel them. This really bugs me since my daily walk is the only exercise I get now. Before getting pregnant i ran up to 100 km per week and I walked nearly 2000 km during my last pregnancy and had no problems at all. that is why i dont know why i should be getting problems this time around!

I'm monitoring the situation before going to the doctor because I want to avoid being told to lie down most of the day!

Thank you so much for this reassurance and advice!

I know all of these things, but have to be reminded. I truly must drink more liquids. I tend not to drink much when not doing sport, especially now as I eat so very much fruit. I MUST DRINK MORE!!! Also, I do tend to go at

I started getting early contractions (I believe it was around 25 weeks tho) with this last pregnancy. I did not get them until the last month with my other 3 children.

I had constractions during the entire last trimester of my pregnancy (daily basis almost) and I was told as long as they were not consistent, I was ok.

Torielle:

That sounds exactly like Braxton Hicks. I remember that tightening well. Sometimes it did feel pretty extreme.

Mention it to your doctor, but I would not be overly concerned until you have reason to be so.

Torielle.
I felt them at 11 weeks with my youngest. My DR said they are always there from early on, that some womans uterus's are more sensitive. You might need to drink more water. I would call your Dr.s office if they keep happening, just to be safe. Julie
