My doctor will do it until I'm 17 weeks. Mine is scheduled for 5/28.

My doctor advised me not to get the amnio until 17 weeks because of the risk of m/c, which is higher the earlier you do it and because accurate results are difficult to obtain with an earlier amnio. He also said it takes longer to analyse an early sample, so less time is gained than you think.

I was nervous about waiting so long because at 17 weeks you already feel the baby skipping about in there and the idea of a termination at such a late stage is difficult to bear. I asked for a FISH result, which takes about 48 hours and in this way

Im having my amnio this coming thursday at exactly 15 weeks.

I read anything below 15 weeks is high risk for clubfoot and pregnancy loss. Not to mention that amnio already carries a risk for miscarriage.
