why you ask ? Well for the last year I have been going strong about going "green" Im trying to teach my children how important even the smallest thing helps "Mother Earth" Well to day my daughter who is 8 years old and so happy to be a Big sister to our baby asked what kind of diapers will we use ? Do you know how many diapers are in the land fills she says ? So what are you all using ?

I am using pampers, you know if you buy pampers you help little babies get a immunization shot, So thats a Plus!

as much as I love mother earth, the thought of shaking poop out of a cloth then washing it kind of grosses me out, If you do use disposable diapers you can maybe skip the diapers wipes and use wash cloths.

I also think that cloth diapers would make the baby feel icky, they pee constantly and would always feel wet, and would promote rashes.. but I could be wrong, because I have never used a cloth diaper.

Good luck!
I probably wasnt much help

I'm due with my 4th in November and I have considered using cloth but the intial start supply is more $$ than disposables. I have seen different kinds of cloth diapers and some are sold for as much as

ITA...We do almost every green thing you described too, but our water in from our 400 foot well and the water is heated 9 months out of the year by the furnace (wood we find on our property or is knocked down in storms)that heats our house.

We hang dry laundry during the warm days and we are looking into wind and solar to generate some of our electricity (which our co-op will love). We will do this once we have replaced all old appliances with highly efficient ones (3 more to go).

I am not worried about the overhead and our detergents are all environmentally friendly, natural cleaners because I don't want junk in my water system.

We will use disposables for travel, when others babysit, when we just need the convenience, but otherwise we will use the cloth.

I always thought I would consider cloth and I have found myself pregnant with triplets at age 41.

Congratulations (I think, right?) on your triplets!!!

The thought of having twins is scary to me. I can't even imagine what I would do if I had 3 at once. I understand the daunting task before you.

If you find that post about the diapers I would love to read it. Can you post the link here?

Thanks!
