maternity underwear?

So, at ten weeks I decided it was time to investigate other underwear options. I went to my local big box discount department store to locate some maternity underwear. Now, granted, it has been some amount of years since I've done this before, and I remember absolutely hating the granny type of maternity underwear which would completely cover my belly! In past pregnancies, I've worn regular lovepats or maternity hipsters, but can you believe that our store didn't carry ANY maternity undies?

This may be a TMI question, but what do you sport under your clothes at this time in your life? And where did you get them?

I absolutely hate anything that don't cover my entire belly when I am pregnant. I don't know why. I just ended up going to the store and buying regular cotton over sized granny panties to wear every day until my pregnancy ended. They were also good to use after getting out of the hospital and having to wear pads. I didn't care if they got messed up or stained because I would be throwing them away anyhow. I can't justify spending a lot of money on maternity underwear that you will only wear about 5-6 months anyhow.

I haven't been pregnant in a while now but my Mom sent my one-size-fits-most bikinis from Motherhood when I was pregnant with my last one (almost 9 mos ago now) and I LOVE them.

I've been buying maternity thongs at Motherhood, I could probably get non-maternity ones just in a bigger size (because my butt is growing propotionally with my belly!!) but I think I feel better buying my usual size at the maternity store! :)

Vain? You betcha, but it's makes me feel a little better! :)

The chains Motherhood and Thyme both carry a variety of styles of maternity undies. They do have the old granny kind, but also hip huggers, low rise,...

I've been wearing Hanes cotton low-rise undies with the soft lace band at the top.

Good Question and no its not TMI

I just wore my regular undies, I mean my butt didnt change and the bikini style undies fit just under your belly anyway.. I reserve those ugly granny pants for when aunt flo comes to town...

So same same undies I mean I had to feel sexy some place on my body because with the ever changing nipple color and extra hair that seems to just sprout during pregnancy oh and that dark line down your belly, and the added weight to your ankles and the large belly that keeps your feet dry if it rained... Yes I had to have something cute and sexy to keep my self image in a positive note.

good luck
