testing with a peri?

At my last appt, my OB gave me 3 options for prenatal testing/screening. I've already had the NT scan, so he said I could 1) have a quad screen, 2) an amnio, or 3) a scan and consult with a perinatologist, which is the option he'd recommend given my age and history (gallstones last pg, preemie, etc).

The third option sounds like something I'd choose, just to head off any complications I might have, but has anyone had peri testing? What is it they do differently from your OB?

I believe it is a Level II Scan where they give an u/s of all the baby's organs, the placenta, umbilical cord, choroid plexis, etc...
