guys, i think im going to have to call my ob monday morning and have her call something in for me. i have been having soo much anxiety and bitchiness towards my dh and dd .i stopped taking lexapro at the onset of the pregnancy, and really wanted to try to take nothing at all but i feel so awful that i am worried it starts making me depressed as well.i wonder from here on out (6 to 9 mos) exactly "what" will be developing for the baby, will she just be growing or will there still be major organs or anything forming that taking something could harm?i hate this but i feel like its only going to get worse as ill only be getting bigger.... more uncomfortable and not working soon ..... not allways good for (my) mind. any advise or experience here?

I am 25 weeks and began taking Zoloff 4 weeks ago. I was experiencing terrible anxiety. I knew the state I was in wasn't healthy for my baby and had to do something. I did some research and talked to the nurse and my Doc. and the pharmacist. I believe I need to be in the best possible health I can be during this pregnancy. I had a miscarriage, lost my Mom and got pregnant again all with in 90 days!!!! Between the hormones and trauma I was completely off my center. I feel much more balanced now.I know anything we take in is a risk but at 46 pregnant with baby # 6 I need to do what is best for Myself,My baby and the rest of my family.

I Hope this helps.

I've been on zoloft for 2 pregnancies now due to anxiety & depression; my doctors have said it is safe, and healthier for both of us to be on the meds than off. There's quite a bit of info on the pregnancy & depression board (http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/listsf.asp?webtag=iv-pppregndep&nav=start) about the safety of antidepressants during pregnancy as well as alternative treatments, I hope you'll check it out! Please know that you are NOT alone and there is help.
