Hi and welcome! You might find that a lot of ladies here were actually surprised to find out they were pregnant since a lot weren't trying at the time. Have you been over to the TTC over 40 board? The ladies there are still waiting for a BFP just like you and I, and they are a great support, lots of great advice too. I had a molar scare once, they were SURE that it was, but all ended up to be fine. I also have another friend who had a molar pregnancy and went on to have a very healthy little girl afterward. I hope things happen for you soon, I know that every month just seems like eternity. Hang in there. ((((Hugs))))

Hi. I just got pregnant for the first time at 42, but it wasn't easy. I had great numbers, but the truth is we have old eggs which are harder to fertilize. I tried IUIs twice and then ended up doing IVF with ZIFT and got pregnant on the first try. My doctor (Dr. Jain) has a 60% success rate with women over 40 with the ZIFT procedure. He is in Los Angeles. The other thing is to maybe embrace and be grateful for what you do have -- sounds like a wonderful family. Good Luck to you!

Then 2 years later I conceived again but sadly miscarried. 3 months after the miscarriage I conceive again and now have a beautiful 4 month old. I will be 47 next week!!!!There is always hope!!

Good Luck,

I'm right there with you -- 42 and really, really wanting to get pregnant with #2 before time runs out. We decided last month to give it a go after dr. approval and a negative test for Cystic Fibrosis (my husband's family has the gene).

I'm staying positive and parking my butt right here on the PG after 40 Board because I will be bringing a BFP in the near future (hopefully this cycle, which would be a birthday present for me).

Good luck and showering you with baby dust.
