Can we deny the gestational diabetes?

I don't believe it would be safe to deny the testing.

I am sure you could but why would you want to? I have GD and it really isn't that bad. It makes me feel better knowing I am keeping things under control and healthier for my LO. It isn't any fun to do the testing but if you do the one hour and everything is fine then it is over and there are no surprises later.

I guess my reasoning is more on the line of why do we need to do the "official glucose testing" if we have a monitor at home..and can check ourselves?

I am not diabetic nor have I had gestational diabetes before. I have, however, been blown off for diabetes testing during a pregnancy. Then when I was given the test, the dr said all was fine , that I was NOT GD

Wow. That is insane. I can't believe your doctor was that incompetent and just would not retest you. Are you using the same doctor? I am sure you can refuse the testing but maybe having it done by someone else would be better. The important thing is knowing what your blood sugar levels should be while pregnant and checking them. I hope you were given the right information last time and it came from someone other than that doctor. I would say your case is one of those rare times you might not want to have it done as long as you monitor regularly and keep it up throughout your pregnancy.
