amnio or cvs?

I am wondering which I should do? what are the benifits of each (aside from the earlier date on the CVS and the slightly lower miscarriage rate on the amnio)

Last time, I was 39, I just had the Nuchal, which came back very low odds, so we skipped the amni and cvs.

This time, I do think I want to do it.

Any info would be great.

Thanks! Marissa

I am definitely going to have the CVS. I think it's important because I'm 40 and because it's my first pregnancy. I'm praying that since my husband and I are healthy, fit and eat pretty good everything will be OK, but we want to know. I suppose they'll also do an Amnio later on. Hope it helps.

We just had our first U/S (everything looks great) and my RE asked about genetic testing but when we said that it didn't matter if our child had down's syndrome he said he wouldn't recommend any testing.
