Hello- My name is Cindy and I am pregnant with my third child at the age of 42. This is my first time on this board.My boyfriend and I r soooooo excited especially since he has always wanted children and up until now never thought he would. He is 44 and will be the best Dad ever. I have 2 other boys 21 and 13. Talk about spreading them out!!!! I of course also have concerns about the risks but have read that they tend to be exagerated. I do not want this wonderful joy in our lives to b clouded over by statistics. Both of my prgnancies were very uneventful and both of my boys were very healthy so I am confident that this will be also. The only thing bothering me is that I do not have a doctors appointment until Sept. 21 because they dont start seeing patients until 10 weeks. I would go elsewhere but they except my insurance and are affiliated with one of the best hospitals in the country especially their NICU.

Most OB offices I know of do not see patients for their first prenanatal visit until around 10 weeks, unless there is a history of complications.
