Hi Everyone,

This is the first time I post and I'm very happy to have found this site.

Hi Ana,

I think you are talking about the nuchal fold test and its accompanying blood test. I am doing that this time around as well, although I have gone straight to CVS in the past. I have also had the NT test in the past w/out any additional testing (my son & daughter, over 35 for both). I have immense confidence in my Perinatologist who is very experienced, so if he doesn't see a problem I feel confident. If he does, I am going to do a CVS (which I had no issue with. I just feel like being less invasive this time around).

I think it's an absolutely ok decision to make, especially if you feel confident in your care providers. Congrats & good luck!

Hi Ana - I had the screening done for my first pregnancy (age 42) and got good results : 1 in 20,000 chance for Down's and 1 in 9,000 chance for Trisomy.
