I have had 3 HPT all confirming my pg, I am about 6 weeks along. My name is April, and I am the Mother to a 22 year old son and 10 year old boy/girl twins. We recently set about TTC a 4th child (when dh came around and decided we better do it NOW, LOL). I have an EDD of July 3rd, 2010, at which time I will be 42.

Am I nuts? I don't feel it- LOL! I look forward to chatting with other mothers in the same boat, having kids past 40.

Just waiting until my first Midwife appointment next week. It is soooo hard to wait!!

Hiya April,

(Odd like Talking to myself)...Congrats!!! Yes is it awful waiting.I agree.

I am 42 and we had our very first app't with our GP.She figures we are 12 weeks, fair enough for starters. We figure something more like 16 or 18 weeks. Our first ultrasound is Friday the 27th so maybe we can get some answers then.I hope so.Our Children are 20 year old son and a 71/2 year old son and a 6 year old daughter.Who claims that this baby is the one she asked Santa for last year. ;-)

No you aren't crazy but I have had ppl accuse us of being 'irresponsible'. After all who will be raising this child when we are incapasitated.I mean really!

I gave her a mouthful..that included some not very complimentary comments on her own age and that "she'd do well not to worry over our children,we have a large enough family that you won't need to provide for them,if you are capable of living long enough to see the youngest learn to walk".

I was a wee bit upset .

I look forward to chatting with you again.

April.

By the way hope your midwife appointment went well.

Thanks, April. :o) That is funny, I don't meet many people with the same name as I have.

I regret to say that I M/C'd over Thanksgiving. The pregnancy simply stopped growing at 5-6 weeks, I should have been over 8. My HCG levels dropped too, so I knew it was coming. Actually, it wasn't as bad as I anticipated, and I am looking to the future! I hope to be able to TTC again about the New Year, and look back to coming here again!

Though, I am sure I will be a bit hesitant to announce a new pg, KWIM?
